Tokyo-based company Ookaze no Okorusama, best known for their partnership with Legacy Effects (Jurassic World, Captain America: Civil War) for Yoshiyuki Tomino's new anime project, will open its own cosplay photo studio "Ohkaze Shashinkan @Akiba produced by GAINAX" on the third floor of the BOX'R AKIBA building in Tokyo at 10:00 am on August 2. As the name suggests, the cosplay-oriented studio is supervised by acclaimed anime production company Gainax (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) .
The studio has photo-shooting spaces with different themes, such as "school classroom," "Japanese-style room," "figure box," and "3D art," and also offers a white-background room where cosplayers can take photos using fake blood and a black-background room where users are permitted to smoke. In addition, various types of props and items are also available.
As previously reported, Japanese rental photo studio company HACOSTA has also opened photo studios
dedicated to cosplay photo shootings in Tokyo, Chiba, Osaka, and Kanagawa.
