Another game revealed during the Level-5 Vision 2016 event was Lady Layton, which is like Professor Layton, except:
The full title is Lady Layton: The Conspiracy of King Millionaire Ariadne, and it stars none other than Professor Layton's daughter, Catriel Layton. She also happens to be into the puzzle-solving detective life, and initially got into this line of work to find out where her father disappeared to. When progress isn't going so hot on that mystery, she takes on odd detective work around town with her assistant Sharo, who is a talking dog.
Kasumi Arimura (Marnie in When Marnie Was There), Koji Yakusho (Shohei Sugiyama in the original Shall We Dance, Kumatetsu in The Boy and the Beast), and Meisa Kuroki (Fujiko in the live-action 2014 Lupin III) are among the voice talent in Lady Layton, and you can see the first trailer below.
Lady Layton is set for a spring 2017 launch in Japan on Nintendo 3DS, as well as iOS and Android devices.
