Four years after the last season, and eight years after the first, Yuki Midorikawa's Natsume Yujin-cho or Natsume's Book of Friends is returning for a fifth run of anime. The series site has been updated with a new visual, along with news that Sasanomaly will perform opening "Takarabako" while Aimer (Fate/stay night, Gundam UC) is on ending "Akane Sasu."
The series debuts October 4th on TV Tokyo with Takahiro Omori back as chief director. Kotomi Deai, who previously helmed the OVA, serves as director.
