The Japanese special edition release of the 62nd volume of Crest of the Royal Family, a long-running historical fantasy shōjo manga manga by Chieko Hosokawa, will come with an original audio drama CD as a bonus.
This marks the 3rd time Crest of the Royal Family has received an audio drama adaptation. Previously, the series had been adapted into a pair of drama CDs released in 1990.
The story of Crest of the Royal Family involves Carol Reed, an American girl who is sent back in time to ancient Egypt by a curse. There Carol becomes the consort of Memphis, an Egyptian prince, and the enemy of Isis, Memphis's half-sister. The cast for the audio drama CD includes:
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Carol Reed.
- Romi Park as Isis.
- Yūki Kaji as Memphis.
- Takahiro Sakurai as Ismir.
- Tomoaki Maeno as Ryan Reed.
- Yūichirō Umehara as Unas.
- And Natsuki Hanae as Luka.

Crest of the Royal Family has been serialized in Akita Shoten's Princess shōjo manga since 1976, and has also been collected into 61 volumes to date. The special edition release of the 62nd volume with the bonus audio drama CD will be released in Japan on December 16, 2016. It retails for 2808 yen ($27.97 US) including tax.
