It was a mixed night for Cool Japan as yesterday's broadcast of the game show Jeopardy tested exactly how well known some of its best known character are.
In the "Final Jeopardy" round, for the topic “Pop Culture Characters,” the "answer" was "In 2015 this character was made an honorary citizen of Japan after over 60 years of residence there." Only, returning champion Seth Wilson responded with the correct "question," name "who is Godzilla?"
Challenger Rachel Lin had a negative score and didn't make it into the final round....
And, sure to to amuse anime fans, Bryan Hlavinka, from Houston, TX offered....
