Magical Musical Composers Go Wild In "ClassicaLoid" Anime Visual

This fall, starting October 8th, Sunrise again enlists Gintama's Yoichi Fujita for something with some skewed sensibilities. Set to broadcast on the ostensibly educational NHK-E, Sengoku Basara's Makoto Tsuchibayashi provides character designs for Classicaloid, which promises to pull in music from a wide range of genres from classical, to Jpop to tech. It follows the events that occur when Beethoven and Mozart mysteriously appear before a pair of high school students, and start performing "musik" that summons giant robots, followed by Bach, Chopin and Schubert likewise turning up. Its site was updated this week with a new visual.

The story of ClassicalLoid involves a small town that is trying to renew itself through music. One day, "ClassicaLoid" versions of Ludwig van Beethoven and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart appear before a pair of local high school students and wield a strange force they call "musik", which causes unhelpful effects like summoning meteor showers and giant robots.
