Nana Mizuki to Star in "BEAUTIFUL- The Carole King Musical" Japanese Edition

It is confirmed today that the leading role in the upcoming Japanese edition of BEAUTIFUL- The Carole King Musical will be double cast by 36-year-old popular anime voice actress/singer Nana Mizuki and 32-year-old singer-songwriter Ayaka Hirahara. This is Mizuki's first musical appearance. The original Broadway edition was coincidentally the musical show she saw when she visited New York for the first time.

The musical play is inspired by the early life story of the legendary American singer Carol King and her rise to stardom. It premiered in San Francisco in October 2013, then made its Broadway debut at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in January 2014. The Japanese edition is scheduled to perform at Imperial Theatre in Tokyo in July and August 2017.
