A new key visual, additional cast members, and the Japanese broadcast schedule have been revealed for Occultic;Nine, an upcoming TV anime based on the "paranormal investigation" light novel series written by Chiyomaru Shikura and illustrated by pako.
In addition to the new key visual (above), which features the main cast of occult investigators for the series, the new cast members that were introduced include:
Satomi Akesaka as Asuna Kisaki, a school girl / active duty FBI agent who came to Kichijōji. What mystery is she pursuing?
Kenjiro Tsuda as Kouhei Izumi, the manager of Cafe Blue Moon, where lead character Yūta Gamon and the rest of his group of paranormal investigators hang out.
And Maria Naganawa as Chizu Kawabata, the best friend of Miyuu Aikawa.
The story of Occultic;Nine involves a group of young paranormal investigators with clashing personalities who come together to publish a blog about the supernatural. Their investigations eventually lead to a discovery that could turn the common understanding of the world upside down.
Occultic;Nine is directed by Kyōhei Ishiguro and Miyuki Kuroki and features animation by A-1 Pictures. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following schedule:
- Tokyo MX: every Saturday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on October 08, 2016.
- ABC (Asahi Broadcasting Corporation): every Saturday during the 26:15 time slot beginning on October 08, 2016.
- Gunma TV: every Saturday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on October 08, 2016.
- Tochigi TV: every Saturday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on October 08, 2016.
- BS11: every Saturday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on October 08, 2016.
- CBC TV (Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting): every Wednesday during the 26:51 time slot beginning on October 12, 2016.
Please note that some Japanese broadcast schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 26:51 time slot on Wednesday is actually at 2:51 AM JST on Thursday.
