The Official Pokémon Channel has posted an announcement trailer for their new Pokémon Generations. Weekly, starting December 23, 2016, these 3 to five minute shows will revisit each generation of the Pokémon video game series, "to shed new light on some timeless moments. From the earliest days in the Kanto region to the splendor of the Kalos region, go behind the scenes and witness Pokémon history with new eyes!"
The YouTube channel has also posted episode 1 of Pokémon Origins: Red, the 2013 TV special adapting the first game.
Its Japanese version featured Takeuchi Junko (Naruto) as Red, Eguchi Takuya (SNAFU's Hachiman) as Green, Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama's Gintoki) as Takeshi/Brock, Katsuji Mori (Speed Racer) as Prof. Okido/Oak and Rikiya Koyama (Fate/Zero's Kiritsugu Emiya) as Sakaki/Giovanni.

It’s back to the beginning with Pokémon Origins! This animated series tells the story of the very first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. A new Pokémon Trainer named Red and his arrogant rival, Blue, set out from Professor Oak’s laboratory on a journey to complete the Pokédex. At first, Red doesn’t really know what he’s doing and finds it difficult to connect with his Charmander when they battle. But soon he meets Gym Leader Brock, who sets him on the path to win eight badges and challenge the Pokémon League!
