Love Live! has a habit of casting veterans voice actresses as its school idol's mothers, and fans have a habit of greeting this with a great deal of enthusiasm. Like the finale that introduced Nico's mother, this week's Sunshine!! season finale brought in a fan-favorite as Chika's mother.

Maki-haha - Kikuko Inoue (Ranma's Kasumi Tendo, Ah! My Goddess' Belldandy, Metal Gear's Boss & lots others, mother is just about every recent anime)
Nico-haha - Kotono Mitsuishi (Sailor Moon, Evangelion's Misato, Kotono Mitsuishi's Rinko Iori)
Rin-haha, Kayo-haha, Umi-haha - N/A
Riko-haha - Nana Mizuki
Dia/Ruby-haha, Yohana-haha, Zuramaru-haha (fans think she might be a grandmother) - N/A
