Following the 40-second teaser in June, Warner Entertainment Japan today released a 90-second full trailer and main poster visual for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Ryosuke Tomoe's psycho thriller manga Museum. The new tagline is "You expect the worst climax." The theme song "Taking Off" introduced in the trailer for the first time is performed by four-member Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK. The song will be available digitally from September 16.
Keishi Otomo, best known for his recent directorial works for the three successful Rurouni Kenshin films, is attached to direct. 33-year-old Shun Oguri (Nobunaga Concerto, Lupin the Third) is cast as the protagonist Sawamura. Warner Brothers Japan will distribute the film from November 12, 2016.
The manga was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine from 2013 to 2014, then compiled in
three tankobon volumes. The story follows a serial killer named "Devil's Artist: Frog Man" who always
leaves a mysterious memo in the crime scene. When finding out the connections among the murders,
the protagonist detective Hisashi Sawamura (Shun Oguri) learns his wife and kids are chosen as the
killer's next targets.
