A new trailer has been released and new cast members have been added for the 2nd season of Sound! Euphonium, the TV anime adaptation based on novels by Ayano Takeda about the Kitauji High School music club.
The new cast members include:
Yuichi Nakamura as Masahiro Hashimoto, a coach from outside the music club who specializes in percussion. Masahiro and music teacher Noboru Taki are friends from college. Masahiro has strong leadership and communication skills, and he's always seen wearing a flashy shirt.
Houko Kuwashima as Satomi Nishiyama, a coach from outside the music club who specializes in the flute. Satomi is responsible for overseeing the woodwind instrument players at Kitauji High School. Satomi has a gentle appearance, but she is a very strict teacher. She was also friends with Masahiro and Noboru in college.
Additionally, it has been announced that a series of concert events entitled the "Sound! Euphonium Official Band Concert - Kitauji High School Music Club 1st Regular Concert" series will be held in Japan.
There are currently 4 sessions scheduled: two will take place at the Uji City Cultural Center Grand on October 1 and 2, 2016; the other two will take place at the Kanagawa Prefectural Hall Great Hall on November 20, 2016. Tickets to the concert events cost 4500 yen ($ 43.82US) including tax.
Like the 1st season, the 2nd season of Sound! Euphonium is directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and features animation by Kyoto Animation. The series will broadcast on Tokyo MX, ABC (Asahi Broadcasting Corporation), KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, tvk (TV Kanagawa) and BS11 beginning on October 05, 2016.
