On December 10th and 11th, the casts and theme song performers from the top anime on TV Tokyo throw down for a two day Anime Jam 2016 anison super-show at Chiba's Makuhari Messe. The line-up looks a little weird at first blush in that idol unit AŌP is on Saturday's Rock stage, but harder-edged anison duo MYTH&ROID are on Sunday's Pop stage. There is however some method to the madness.
Series associated with the male casts fall on the rock side, while series associated with their female casts are pop.
While means that Twin Star Exorcists, which stars Megumi Han and Yu Serizawa, but draws fans of Yu Serizawa, Ayumu Murasem Namikawa Daisuke and Kaito Ishikawa is rock, while Re:Zero, which which is going to ignore Yūsuke Kobayashi and focus on Rie Takahashi, Inori Minase, Rie Murakawa and Yumi Uchiyama is pop.
