30-year-old anime voice actress Emi Nitta has left the ongoing Cardfight!! Vanguard G TV anime series as of the end of September, her agency S confirmed yesterday. No specific reasons were given. She, best known as Honoka Kousaka in the Love Live! franchise, had played the main heroine Tokoha Anjou since its first season in 2014 and provided her third single song "NEXT PHASE" as the second ED theme song for the first season.
From the anime's upcoming fourth season NEXT to premiere on October 2, the character will be voiced by Bushiroad group's rookie voice actress Aina Aiba, who is cast as Yukina Minato in the January 2017 TV anime BanG Dream!.
Meanwhile, Nitta's official website has announced she will join the upcoming Japanese edition of the Tony Award-winning musical Legally Blonde to be performed in Tokyo and Osaka from March 21 to April
30 in 2017 (more locations will be added). Just like Aya Hirano, she may start changing her main activity
field from voice acting to stage play?
