After retiring from a 19 year run as the host of children's variety program Oha Suta earlier this year, voice actor Koichi Yamadera is returning to Japanese airwaves to be the MC for Oha Oha Aniki, a new variety program on TV Tokyo that explores hobbies from a grown-up perspective.
Oha Oha Aniki will focus on examining hobbies such as playing video games, watching animation, and collecting toys as adult passtimes. NMB48 members Momoka Kinoshita and Mao Mita will join Yamadera as co-hosts, while voice actors Natsuki Hanae and Yūki Ono will provide narration for the show.
The debut episode of Oha Oha Aniki will focus on mini 4WD model racers and will feature special guests Yuriko Fuchizaki and Haruna Ikezawa, who provide the voices of Retsu Seiba and Gō Seiba on the much-beloved 1996 mini-racing TV anime Bakusō Kyōdai Let's & Go!!.
Oha Oha Aniki will broadcast on TV Tokyo every Thursday during the 26:05 time slot beginning on October 13, 2016. Please note that because some Japanese programming considers early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, this time actually corresponds to 2:05 AM JST on Friday mornings.
