64-year-old Kazuhiko Torishima, who was known as the 6th editor-in-chief (1996-2001) of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, now works as the representative director of Hakusensha that has published many popular shoujo manga magazines, such as Hana to Yume and LaLa. He launched the "Character Produce Section" in the company in July, and has revealed its first project "Idol D.T.I."
"Idol D.T.I" is set in the world where the value of a male idol is determined by his "undressing" skills. The story centers on the two protagonists, Akari who has the innate ability of undressing and Mikoto who is working as an undressing model. They form an undressing idol unit "Candle" to become the top idols. Its manga series illustrated by Akiharu Touka starts its serialization in the December 2016 issue of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine released yesterday in Japan. Targeting females in their late teens, app games and character figures are also planned to be released in future.
