Maaya Sakamoto to Voice Lead in "Monster Strike The Movie"

It is officially confirmed today that 36-year-old anime voice actress/singer Maaya Sakamoto voices the protagonist character Ren Homura in his elementary school days in Monster Strike The Movie, the upcoming feature film edition of the ongoing Monster Strike web anime series. 31-year-old Yusuke Kobayashi has been playing Ren in the web series, and also voices the character as a junior high school student. And Haruma Kagutsuchi, who has been voiced by Daisuke Ono, is played by Tomo Muranaka in the film. Other two main cast from the web series, Lynn (Aoi Mizusawa) and Juri Kimura (Minami Wakaba) voice their characters in both ages.

The feature film based on mixi's mega hit action RPG Monster Strike will be released in Japan on December

10, 2016. The story is set in the days when Monster Strike was born in Japan and revolves around childhood

memory of Ren and other characters. Shinpei Ezaki, the director of the 12-episode Gunslinger Stratos: The

Animation (2015), is attached to direct on the screenplay by Taku Kishimoto (Silver Spoon, Haikyu!!).
