This fall Yūki Shikawa's Bernard-jō Iwaku. (Miss Bernard said...), is set to be adapted into a TV anime. The series follows the exploits of Sawako Machida, who calls herself "Barnard-jou/Miss Bernard" as she routinely visits her school library to learn the classics through osmosis. Still, she's going to have to crack a book and finish for a Posers Prohibited promo collaboration with publisher Hayakawa.
Through mid-October, 300 Japanese bookstores offer Cormac McCarthy's The Road, Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 (new translation), Philip K Dicks' Ubik, Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game (new translation - split into two books) and Harlan Ellison's The Beast That Shouted Love At the Heart Of the World with bands featuring recommendations from the series' leads.
The author received the 18th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize's Short Work Prize for his three works including this. Dream Creation, who recently produced the TV anime adaptations of Yumi Nakata's My Wife is the Student Council President and Choborau Nyopomi's Magical Somera-chan, will handle this series.
The manga was first serialized in Ascii Media Works' web manga site Dengeki Comic Japan from 2012 to 2013, and is currently running in Ichijinsha's monthly magazine Comic REX. So far two tankobon volumes are available from Ichijinsha.

The anime's theme song "Love! Library" is performed by two-member doujin unit Shoujo Fractal that consists of Miya Amamiya and Risa Yuzuki. The unit was formed in the winter of 2014 and has mainly performed the Touhou Project and Kantai Collection-related songs for Nico Nico Douga and various doujin events including Comic Market.
