If you want a good horror anime to watch this Halloween, try the 2012 adaptation of Yukito Ayatsuji's novel Another. You'll find a series that tries to be eerie rather than just bringing in vampires or some other creature of the night. Another was also adapted into a manga by Hiro Kiyohara, who happens to be celebrating a birthday today, which was cause for Sui Ishida, author of horror manga best-seller Tokyo Ghoul, to draw Another's Mei Misaki in tribute.
The novel and manga were released in North America by Yen Press.
