Yusuke Naora Leaves Square Enix

It looks like Yusuke Naora, art director employed by Square Enix for the last 24 years, has resigned from his position.

Naora was previously credited on several Final Fantasy titles as well as Chrono Trigger and other popular titles from the publisher over the last few years. He's got quite the impressive resume!

Naora explained his decision on Twitter:

"“On September 30, I resigned from Square Enix after working for them for 24 years. With my family in mind, I’ll be going back to my home town of Izumo. Yesterday, Taba-chan (Hajime Tabata) showed me the ending of Final Fantasy XV. It was my final job, and it has the best ending. Everyone has been amazing! We did a great job. I’m a little regretful that the release date was pushed back, but I’m happy to be given credit. After my resignation, I will continue doing illustrations, designs, and the like as jobs for Square Enix, and want to take on various challenges, so I appreciate your support. I’m grateful for all the experiences I was able to have with so many people.”

Good luck to Naora-san, no matter what you decide to do next!
