AOP, a six member ladies voice unit, will perform the opening theme for Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club, an upcoming TV anime based on the cycling manga by Noriyuki Matsumoto. The opening theme is entitled "Jitensha ni Hana wa Mau" ("Flowers are Twirling Around the Bicycle"), and it features lyrics and composition by Shinya Tanaka and arrangement by Mine Kushita.
Additionally, the Japanese TV broadcast schedule for Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club was announced as follows:
- AT-X: every Friday during the 24:00 time slot beginning on January 06, 2017.
- TV Osaka: every Monday during the 25:35 time slot beginning on January 09, 2017.
- TV Kanagawa: every Tuesday during the 25:00 time slot beginning on January 10, 2017.
- TV Aichi: every Wednesday during the 26:35 time slot beginning on January 11, 2017.
Please note that some Japanese broadcast schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 25:35 time slot on Monday is actually at 1:35 AM JST on Tuesday morning.
The original Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club manga is serialized in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Blade shōnen manga magazine. The story follows Hiromi Maiharu, a high school girl who moves from Nagasaki to Kamakura. Hiromi travels to her new school by bicycle, but she's not very good at riding one. With the help of Tomoe Akitsuki, Hiromi improves her bicycling skills and decides to join the Girls Cycling Club.
