Veteran voice actress Kikuko Inoue (known for roles such as Belldandy in Oh! My Goddess and Kasumi Tendo in Ranma 1/2) jokes that she's eternally seventeen years old, but she may not be far off the mark. A spread in the upcoming Newtype magazine promoting Elecom's new model of earbuds shows the 52-year-old Kikuko and her daughter Honoka in matching school uniforms... And neither of them looks at all out of place.
Kikuko and Honoka were excited about both the shoot and the new earbuds, which are being marketed as being perfect for listening to anison. Kikuko herself has sung more than 300 songs for various anime, and Honoka has begun a voice acting and singing career of her own.
Newtype also jokes that, at 18, Honoka has overtaken her "17-year-old" mother age-wise.
The photoshoot will appear on pages 58-61 of the December edition of Newtype, which comes out November 10.
