Ryo Yoshizawa Stars in Live-Action "Tomodachi Game" Adaptations

Actor Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze, the live-action Gintama movie) will be playing the lead role in the upcoming live-action adaptations of Tomodachi Game ("Friends Game"), based on the psychological-thriller manga written by Mikoto Yamaguchi and illustrated by Yuki Sato. The manga will be adapted into a TV drama and a film in 2-parts, each of which is scheduled to be released in 2017.

Yoshizawa will play the series protagonist, Yuichi Katagiri. Yuichi is a young man who was raised to believe that friendship is more important than money, but he finds these beliefs sorely tested when he and a group of his friends are kidnapped and forced to play a series of sadistic games that try to push their friendships past the breaking point.

The original Tomodachi Game manga is serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine. An official website and Twitter feed (@tomodachi_game) have also been published for the live-action adaptations.
