Studio 4°C has once again teamed up with The Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation to create a work of short animation celebrating the joys of Chinese characters, this time in a steampunk fantasy piece entitled Chiryokumaru ("Wisdom Armor"). Studio 4°C's previous contribution, Why She Loves Kanji, was a romantic high school comedy in 2-parts.
In Chiryokumaru, the Mysterious Youth uses the power of Chinese characters to charge up his armor, granting him the strength to defeat the demons of ignorance known as Shirazu. The staff for Chiryokumaru includes:
