Along with the tech/design coverage you'd expect from its name, Japanese magazine MdN (Macintosh designers Network) applies that sort of artistic lens to a broader look, with features on aesthetics of sumo and idols, or how to read/interpret the credits of anime, movies and music and the like. With Trigger celebrating the studio's fifth anniversary MdN dedicated its May issue (out April 4th) to the makers of Kill La Kill, Little Witch Academia, and more.
The monster feature traces the history of the studio, including the development of Kill La Kill, Ninja Slayer, Space Patrol Luluco, Little Witch Academia, Inferno Cop and more, along with a look at the key personnel's time at Gainax with anime such as Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking.
