Japanese Comedians Strap On Proton Packs For "Ghostbusters" Music Video

The new Ghostbusters movie, which had its premiere last weekend ahead of a July 15th US opening, hits Japan 19th. That late summer date hasn't slowed down the Japanese promo blitz which has featured mimic/comedian/actress/fashion designer Naomi Watanabe, who will be voicing Melissa McCarthy's Abbey Yates in the Japanese dub. A highlight of this has been Watanabe being joined by commedians Tomochika (standup of a solo-owarai style, voice of Kristen Wiig's Erin Gilbert), Oniyakko Tsubaki (known from America wo warawasero!/Make America laugh) and Shizuyo Yamasaki (comedian who got international press for trying out for the 2012 Olymics as a boxer, inspired by boxercise and Ashita No Joe) to cover Ray Parker Jr. classic's theme in music video.

The other announced cast member is Toshiyuki Morikawa (Ninja Slayer) in Chris Hemsworth's Kevin role.
