The Angry Birds Movie is set to be released in Japan on October 1st and leading into that, its Stella Pink Bird's Japanese dub actress was announced this week. Publicity notes that the character, voiced by Kate McKinnon in English will be voiced by one of Love Live!'s μ's, remembered by the non-anime watching general public from their appearance on 66th NHK New Year's Eve Red and White Singing Contest. Unfortunately, it's not South Bird-chan doing the voice!
Instead, it's Suzuko Mimori, voice of the earnest Umi Sonoda, as well as My Little Pony's Pinkie Pie, and Milky Holmes' Sherlock "Sheryl" Shellingford.
Previously announced cast includes Shinobu Sakagami as Red and Masakiyo Maezono as Pig.
