"Pokémon Go" Creators Apologize to Japanese Players for the Delay

As you may know, Pokémon Go finally launched in Japan after a delay, so now everyone in the very country that created Pokémon can join in on the hunt. The folks behind the game are sorry for the hold up, so they posted a video to address the delay. Watch as Game Freak's general manager Junichi Masuda and Niantic CEO John Hanke team up to apologize and offer some safety tips for the AR game.

Since this was aimed at Japanese players, there isn't anything beyond auto-generated subtitles. Hanke's comments are in English, but Masuda starts off with an apology before letting players know they can now enjoy the game. Masuda then wraps things up by expressing his hope that Pokémon Go will "enrich everyone's lives and encourage them to see their everyday world in a new light." Finally, he says, "Stick to the rules and have fun."
