Crunchyroll previously reported on how voice actor Keiji Fujiwara, who plays the role of Hiroshi Nohara on the long-running TV anime Crayon Shin-chan, will be taking time off from the show to recuperate from an unspecified illness.
Now Fujiwara's replacement has been announced: voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa (Boros in One-Punch Man) will serve as Fujiwara's understudy and temporarily take over the role. With respect to this decision, Morikawa has said that he hopes Fujiwara will recover swiftly and that he will work hard as a stand-in in the mean time.
Toshiyuki Morikawa will take over the role of Hiroshi Nohara after the current episode of Crayon Shin-chan, which airs on TV Asahi during the 19:30 time slot (7:30 PM JST) on August 26, 2016.
