Ever since 2010, Hatsune Miku has been an important part of winter in Hokkaido. Her wintry persona, dubbed "Snow Miku," has become the center of festivals, campaigns, and concerts, with mascot friend Rabbit Yukine joining her in recent years.
Now, 2017's Snow Miku and Rabbit Yukine are preparing to bring wintry fun to Hokkaido with the new PV, showing off 2017's new Snow Miku theme and a taste of the events to come.
This year's song, titled "Star Night Snow," was composed by n-buna ("Toumei Elegy," "Umiyuri Kaiteitan") and Orangestar ("Asu no Yozora Shoukaihan"), and plays off the year's theming of stars and constellations.
The video also teases some of the events to come in this year's Snow Miku, including live shows, merch booths, and craft workshops. We also get another good look at the themed street cars.
Snow Miku 2017 will run from February 6-12. Advance lotteries for the 2017 Nendoroid and Figma figures have just opened.
