"Hirunehime" Full Trailer Introduces Theme Song "Daydream Believer"

The official website for the upcoming anime feature film Hirunehime -Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari- (Princess Nap -The Story of Unknown Me-) today posted a 100-second full trailer featuring its theme song "Daydream Believer" sung by 24-year-old actress Mistuki Takahata who voices the protagonist girl Kokone Morikawa. As a singer, Takahata has released four singles and two original albums.

"Daydream Believer" was originally released as American pop idol group The Monkees' 6th single in October 1967. But in Japan, it is more known by its Japanese cover version performed by four-member masked rock band The Timers led by the late Kiyoshiro Imawano (RC Succession) in October 1989. Takahata sings the Japanese lyric version.

The Signal-MD (Cyborg 009 Call of Justice)-produced and Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex)-directed film is set for a release in Japan on March 18, 2017.
