The main voice cast for the Japanese dub edition of the upcoming live-action film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Japanese official website) is announced, including 33-year-old Mamoru Miyano, one of the most popular anime voice actors today, as the protagonist Newt Scamander (portrayed by Eddie Redmayne). Miyano is well known for his portrayals as Light Yagami in Death Note, Setsuna F. Seiei in Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Tokiya Ichinose in Uta no Prince-sama, and has also voiced Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter film series and Percy Jackson in the Percy Jackson series for their Japanese dub.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be released in Japan on November 23, five days later than
the US, screened in the original English and Japanese.
