Director Kenji Kamiyama's filme Hirunehime -Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari- (Princess Nap -The Story of Unknown Me-) now has the beginning of a cast. And for at least two members, it's their first time as a voice actor.
Actress and singer Mitsuki Takahata will be taking on the role of Kokone Morikawa, with veteran actor Yōsuke Eguchi playing her father. In both cases, voice acting is a new experience for them -- even in the case of Eguchi, who started as an actor back in 1987.
Joining them will be Shinnosuke Mitsushima as Morio, Tomoya Maeno as Kijita, Arata Furuta as Watanable, and Hideki Takahashi as Isshin Shijima. While many of these actors have at least some voice acting work behind them (Furuta was notably Genma Saotome in Ranma 1/2), it seems the cast is made up largely of performers known for live-action work.
Hirunehime takes place in 2020, just before the Olympics and Paralympics, and tells the story of a young girl who becomes friends with a transforming robot named Hearts.
Hirunehime -Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari- opens in Japan in March 2017.
