In case you missed our report on it in November, heads up that there's going to be an anime starring anthropomorphized rice coming out this spring. Love Kome -We Love Rice- stars five schoolboys based on types of rice, who form the idol unit Love Rice and vow to perform at their school's Harvest Show to demonstrate just how awesome rice is as compared to bread.
Today, a massive number of cast members have been announced, fleshing out the student body of Inaho Adacemy:
Ann: Junya Enoki (Takeru, Digimon Adventures tri.)
Shock: Yuuto Suzuki (Hiroshi Ono, Ace of Diamond)
Carry: Genki Okawa (Chii, Nanbaka)
Chinko Bouzu: Tomokazu Sugita (Kyon, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
Mori no Kuma-san: Mafia Kajita (MC and radio personality)
Mana Musume: Natsuko Hara (Mirai, Crane Game Girls)
Kurowa: Shuuta Morishima (Isobe, Kamisama Kiss)
Koro-ane: Miho Masaka (Ibara, My Hero Academia)
Camembert: Hipoo (Nicovideo Let's Player)
Gurumi: Saori Murakita
Guruko: Kaori Saitou
Gurue: Rico Sasaki (Kyoko, Crane Game Girls)
While there are many well-known people in the cast, it's also interesting to note that there are also cast members from other media -- including Hipoo, a gamer who won a one-shot role in JK-MESHI! and has just now begun a voice acting career.
Love Kome -We Love Rice- premieres this April.
