Square Enix recently teased plans for a Nier: Automata-themed PlayStation 4, and now the console is up for pre-order on Japan's Sony Store. The Emil Edition system is priced at ¥33,480 ($294) for the 500GB version and ¥38,480 ($337) for the 1TB version, and it will launch in Japan on the same day as Automata, February 23.
For your money you'll get a Jet Black PS4 featuring Emil's head, an original PS4 theme, and all the other stuff that typically comes with the console, all in Nier: Automata packaging.
In other Nier-related fun, Automata director Yoko Taro, producer Yosuke Saito, and designer Takahisa Taura were recently on a live stream showing off some cool footage. Chief among it is a look at the prototype version of the demo, including footage from a build that was put together a couple years ago. That kicks off around 5:45 below.
Nier: Automata hits PlayStation 4 in North America on March 7 and Europe on March 10, with a PC version to follow later.
