For the next three weeks, the Naruto Shippuden will be pairing characters for explorations of their childhoods. This starts with Sasuka and Sakura on October 27th, followed by Gaara and Shikamaru on November 3rd and Jiraiya and Kakashi on the 10th. For better or worse, it's more of a split than a crossover. Sorry Gaara x Shikamaru shippers.
New themes coming this month include Anly's "Empty Song" for the opening and idol unit Ayumikurikamaki ending "Departure Song."
In the winter, the TV anime will be adapting the 2015 novels Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding, Shikamaru Hiden: A Cloud Drifting in Silent Darkness and Sasuke Shinden: Book of Sunrise.
