Noted Family-Show Voice Actor Kaneta Kimotsuki Passes Away at Age 80

TV Asahi, the distributor of beloved family anime Doraemon, has announced the passing at age 80 of actor Kaneta Kimotsuki - the first voice of bully Takeshi "Gian" Goda and the 1979-2005 voice of fox-faced rich-kid Suneo Honekawa. Kimotsuki also voiced the Tom Cat in perennial favorite foreign animation Tom and Jerry, Conductor in Galaxy Express 999, 007/Great Britain in the '79 Cyborg 009, and more recently, roles like Leonof the Puppet-Master in Trigun and samurai spirit Yoshiteru in Yuki Yuna.


Kimotsuki died of pneumonia on October 20. According to his agency, he had been ailing and a family funeral was held.
